Pier 84's operation is a good example of an increasingly common occurrence at the Port: management and labor working together to craft a business arrangement attractive to today's shipper. In this case, this cooperative effort resulted in Pier 84 quickly becoming Philadelphia's dedicated terminal for cocoa beans. This modern terminal meets all the needs of this sensitive cargo, and has seen continuous cargo growth as a result.
