Connected in more ways than one.

At PhilaPort, our strong relationships with partners at all levels of government help companies thrive at the port. Our excellent connections with the PA Department of Community & Economic Development (PA DCED) can help you access a variety of confidential, free or low-cost services for companies doing business in Pennsylvania.

We can help you get connected to:

  • Export assistance. Pennsylvania exporters of all sizes benefit from DCED’s Office of International Business Development’s (OIBD) export assistance services. Pennsylvania has one of the largest, most comprehensive state-sponsored export development programs in the country. Through this office, exporters can get help at all stages of growth, from market entry strategy, through foreign company research and background checks, to qualifying buyers, agents, distributors, and more. International trade shows and missions are supported on-the-ground by in-country teams.
  • Investment services. OIBD also works with international companies looking to locate and expand operations in Pennsylvania. In-market representatives in your time-zone have special expertise in working in your country and in the U.S. That means you can get one-on-one help with market intelligence, site locations, detailed research on taxes, infrastructure, and labor, as well as meetings with workforce training institutions, universities, apprenticeship experts, and other potential partners.
  • State-level support. The Governor’s Action Team specializes in providing technical assistance and customized financial incentive packages to support competitive job creation projects. With direct access to the governor, the team will work with you to assemble an assistance package tailored to the specific needs of your business.
