PhilaPort Hits New Port Record in June 2021

Philadelphia, July 22, 2021 —

Breaking Port history once again, PhilaPort recorded its highest TEU count, handling a total of 67,446 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in June. Growing 33% compared to June 2020; and beating the Port’s previous TEU record from August 2020 of 66,841 TEUs.

Year-to-Date TEU volumes have improved 15% to 351,629 TEUs, with imports growing 19% and export 11%.

Auto volumes were 98,719 units, up 8% over YTD June 2021.

Breakbulk YTD June 2021 cargo volumes grew 19% from 707,886 metric tons.
