PhilaPort Announces New Director of Human Resources

PhilaPort is pleased to announce Jennifer Davies as its new Director of Human Resources, effective February 24th

Philadelphia, February 26, 2025 — With over 15 years of experience in human resources, Jennifer is a strategic HR leader known for cultivating strong organizational cultures and driving impactful HR initiatives. Throughout her career, Jennifer has successfully managed complex HR functions, including employee relations, labor relations, compliance, and HR technology integration. Her hands-on leadership style, combined with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, HR process optimization, and employee engagement, has consistently delivered results that enhance both employee experience and organizational success.

Committed to creating sustainable, innovative HR solutions, Jennifer is focused on aligning HR strategy with PhilaPort’s goals to support the growth and success of the organization and its people. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology and currently pursuing Six Sigma certification, Jennifer is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, high-performance environment that empowers employees and drives business results.

PhilaPort, The Port of Philadelphia, is an independent agency of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania charged with the management, maintenance, marketing and promotion of publicly-owned port facilities along the Delaware River in Philadelphia, as well as strategic planning throughout the port district.  PhilaPort works with its terminal operators to modernize, expand and improve its facilities, and to market those facilities to prospective port users.  Port cargoes and the activities they generate are responsible for thousands of direct and indirect jobs in the Philadelphia area and throughout Pennsylvania.
